Trip notes, not a travel agency
We write up places we have researched or visited. We do not book anything, sell anything or carry any liability for a journey you take. Opening hours, park fees, permit quotas, transport timetables, visa rules and safety advisories all change without warning and often differ from one source to the next — a gorilla permit price or a border requirement quoted in an old post may be years out of date. Verify with the operator, the park authority and your own government’s travel advice before committing money.
Health, insurance and risk
Altitude, remote trails, wildlife and water carry risks we cannot assess for you. Vaccination and medication questions belong with a travel clinic, and insurance cover belongs with your insurer. Decisions on the ground are yours.
Corrections
Posts are dated and we fix what we are told about, but the site carries no guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Write to [email protected] if something has changed on the ground.

Where we name a lodge, guide or airline, we are describing it rather than vouching for it, and pages beyond this site are outside our control — including whether they are still there.

Our text and images are published for personal, non-commercial reading. A short quotation with a link back is welcome; republishing a whole post is not, unless you have asked us.
